GENERAL RULES

 

ELIMINATION

  • This will be in the form of a written exam to be taken for two (2) hours.

  • All contestants, including alternates, must take the Elimination Round. However, only the scores of the official members will be summed up.

  • Calculators are NOT allowed.

  • The top 24 teams will qualify to compete in the semi-finals round.

 

SEMI-FINALS & FINALS

  • Both rounds will take the form of oral exams. Semi-final rounds shall follow the typical quiz bee format, while the exact format of the final round shall be announced prior to the start of the round.

  • 12 of the 24 qualifying teams will be assigned at random to semi-final round A. The remaining will be assigned to semi-final round B.

  • The top 3 teams for each semi-final round will proceed to the final round.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

GRADE SCHOOL DIVISION

A school can send in at most three (3) teams, each team with at most three (3) members and an alternate. Only students until Grade 6 are allowed to join the competition.

 

HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION

A school can send in at most three (3) teams, each team with at most three (3) members and an alternate. Students who are in Grade 7 onwards are allowed to join the competition.

 

COLLEGE DIVISION

No limit shall be imposed on the number of contestants sent per school. Participants will be competing individually.

1st Place: PHP 10,000 and medal

2nd Place: PHP 5,000 and medal

For Grade School and High School:

Each registered participant who shall be charged a registration fee of Php150 on the day of the competition. Walk-in participants shall be charged Php200 each.
