Sipnayan is an annual interschool mathematics competition that provides an arena where students engage in a cordial, yet tough battle of intellect, thereby enhancing their mathematical prowess. All bonafide students from grade school, high school and college students are eligibile to participate. Organized by the Ateneo Mathematics Society, the competition brings together some of the country's top students andengages them in a battle of mathematical wits. Now on its seventeenth year, Sipnayan promises to be even better, challenging each of its participants to think and to let 17 all out.
The Ateneo Mathematics Society (AMS) wishes to achieve its goal of promoting mathematical excellence through an avenue of friendly competition among schools in Metro Manila and nearby areas. Sipnayan will serve as a venue for honing and celebrating mathematical skills of math enthusiasts all over the region. The success of such a competition will speak of Ateneans’ commitment towards fostering a culture of excellence in the community. In line with such goal, the competition aims to bring more students to join Sipnayan every year.
